Their music is heavily influenced and inspired by sixties and seventies psychedelic rock and soul classics and they will play alot of new versions of old tunes from that era!

Portmeirion formed in 2025 through their mutual love of sixties and seventies psychedelic rock and soul. The five members include a jazz drummer who loves Black Sabbath, a soul-jazz bassist armed with a fuzz pedal, a blues guitarist with a complete arsenal of sonic effects to expand anyone’s mind; and a virtuosic jazz flautist with a singing voice that blends in perfect harmony with the huge, soulful dulcet tones of the band’s front woman.
Expect to hear the band’s unique take on tunes from the likes of Rotary Connection, Jefferson Airplane, Isaac Hayes, Shocking Blue and many more from the mind bending sounds of the retro underground.

The legendary DJ Format will be supporting on the decks; renowned globally as a world-class crate-digger, he is a certified authority on vintage global psychedelia and the mastermind behind BBE Music’s acclaimed Psych Out compilation [listen here]. Expect an exceptional, strictly-vinyl set tracking deep-cut 1960s and 70s heavy psych, fuzzed-out international garage rock, and driving freakbeat.
