The Rose Hill is a venue, studio complex and creative hub, run by musicians and artists. We aim to programme consistently interesting, varied and adventurous performances. As well as regular live music, we host film screenings, workshops and classes, and support artists and curators with their work.

When are you open? What are your closing times?

Opening Times:

We only open our doors for events taking place in the venue (or of course if you book us for private hire or studio space). You can find out when we’re open on our events page.

Closing Times:

Currently, due to licensing restrictions, we can only serve until 11pm, with clear out by 11:30pm. Occasionally we extend the licence until midnight, dependent on the event. If you are coming to an event, MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE EARLY as we have to kick you out by 11:30pm!!

What is accessibility like?

You can find out more about our accessibility here (further down this page).

Can I buy tickets in advance? Can I buy tickets on the door?

About 70% of the shows at The Rose Hill have advance ticket links. You can find tickets either on our events page or on our Facebook page.

Most events at The Rose Hill have tickets available on the door, unless the event is sold out. You can find the OTD price on the events pages.

How do I refund or cancel my ticket(s)?

Head to our Refund Policy for more information about refunds/cancellations.

Can children come?

Kids are totally welcome until they lose their shit. We recommend you bring them ear defenders.

How do I hire The Rose Hill for a public or private event, or for recordings or rehearsals?

For event bookings or private hire, head to our bookings page to find out more and fill out our bookings form.

For recordings or rehearsals, head to our studios page.

This section is a work in progress, so please let us know if there is anything else you would like to see here. We are going to have some photos here soon.

We are proud to be taking significant steps in making The Rose Hill more accessible for our community and visitors. We now have accessible gender neutral toilets in use at the venue. Due to a human error during building works in the sweltering heat, the door entry is 140cm (10cm short of the required measurements in order to officially say that it is ‘accessible’). Although we have had positive feedback from users, we are working on fixing this error and plan to rectify it ASAP.

Entry to The Rose Hill

The venue is accessed via a ramp at the front door. We have had reports from visitors that some people find it slightly steep so if you think you may need assistance getting into the venue, please let us know ahead of your visit so that our bar staff will know to expect you.

Once in the venue the first level gives access to the coat rack, bar, dancefloor/seating area, toilets, and outdoor smoking area (both accessible via ramp).

The main space

There is mixed, limited seating available in the main space, including a selection of cushioned church pews (which can fit 2/3 people), low stools, bar stools, a rocking chair, a cosy armchair, and a few wooden chairs with backs.

If you need to reserve a seat(s) for specific accessibility needs, please let us know by emailing us in advance of event (ideally a week before your visit if possible!). You do not need to explain why you need this seat reserved, and no questions as to why will be asked.

MORE ABOUT SEATING – Some shows are seated shows and some are mainly standing with very little reserved seating available, so please do check in with us about that. In the rare case that you have bought a ticket and there is NO available reserved seating left, we will always refund your ticket anytime before the actual show date.

Carers

Carers can come in free, just let us know for numbers.

Stage

We have a movable stage ramp for getting on and off stage. Unfortunately, the green room is not accessible as it is down a big flight of narrow stairs; however, sometimes (depending on capacity) we can create a curtained area on the venue floor to provide some privacy.

Get in touch (info@therosehill.co.uk) with any further details you might need, or to let us know you are coming.
