Amirhossein Heydari is an Iranian musician, composer, and music researcher with over 14 years of professional experience performing on the Kamancheh and Alto Gheychak. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous ensembles and musical groups across Iran, performing at a wide range of festivals and cultural events.
In recent years, his artistic activities have expanded internationally. Based in the United Kingdom, he has worked with a diverse range of musicians and ensembles, including Ajam Band, One World Orchestra, and Persian String Collective. One of his most notable collaborations was his contribution to the track “Azizam” alongside internationally acclaimed British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, a project that helped showcase the richness of Persian musical traditions to a global audience.
Alongside his work as a performer, Heydari is actively engaged in composition, developing original works that blend traditional Persian musical elements with contemporary and cross-cultural influences. His creative approach is rooted in innovation while maintaining a strong connection to the heritage of Persian music.
He is currently focused on his principal project, 95Pulse Band, founded in late 2024 in collaboration with pianist and composer Danial Amileh. The band’s work has already received international recognition; its piece “Madhoosh” was awarded the Bronze Medal at the Global Music Awards and was also recognized as a winner at the UK International Music Competition. These achievements reflect the ensemble’s distinctive artistic vision and growing presence on the international music scene.
Danial Amileh is a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist born in Rasht, Iran. He began his musical journey at the age of six with piano and keyboard and later expanded his skills to include drums, percussion instruments, guitar, and bass guitar.
He is the founder of the jazz-fusion group Burned Ice (active from 2015 to 2022) in Iran and also holds a degree in Medical Engineering.
Currently, his main focus is his new project, the 95Pulse Band, which he co-founded in late 2024 alongside kamancheh player Amirhossein Heydari. 95Pulse is a cross-genre project that blends Middle Eastern traditional music with modern soundscapes, reflecting Amileh’s ability to connect his scientific mindset with his musical creativity.
In the artistic portfolio of 95Pulse, the track “Madhoosh” was awarded the Bronze Prize at the Global Music Awards and also recognized as a winner at the UK International Music Competition—accolades that reflect the project’s distinctive artistic vision and its international standard of excellence.
Pavlos Carvalho (double,bass, cello, bouzouki) has been a prizewinner in International competitions in Britain, Italy, Russia and Germany as well as working with orchestras including the London Philharmonic and Northern Sinfonia. He has been invited to play for Prince Charles at Kensington Palace and for the 70″* birthday celebrations of Rostropovitch. He has performed as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, Covent garden Chamber Orchestra and Southern Pro Musica among others. He is also one of the founding members and musical director of chamber music group and charity, Ensemble Reza.
He has regularly performed in a variety of venues from smaller, intimate venues such as the Green Note and Vortex to venues such as the Purcell room, Kings Place, Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Teatro dal Verme, and recorded for the BBC.
A big part of Pavlos’ musical life also involves outreach and education work. He has worked for groups such as Live Music Now, Pied Piper, In Harmony, Music for Life and the Trinity’s Laban’s Animate Orchestra. He gives masterclasses and
workshops for the London cello society and has also been director for the National Chamber music cello courses of Pro Corda.
Pavlos is also a founder and Director of the Rebetiko Carnival, a festival and charity dedicated to the performance and cultural awareness of Greece and Asia Minor.
Toril is a London-based percussionist and composer. He received a full scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music, completing the course with a first class degree. During this time, he was selected for the World Percussion Group and London Sinfonietta schemes, performed a concerto with the RCM Philharmonic and won the RCM Percussion Prize. In 2018 and 2020 he reached the Percussion Finals in BBC Young Musician and won the 2020 Sussex Young Musician competition and was previously part of the LSO Academy and LPO Junior Artists Scheme. Toril’s freelance work has been incredibly varied including premiering a Jonathan Dove opera with the Glyndebourne Sinfonia, standing in for Dame Evelyn Glennie, performing with the Britten Pears Young Artists Programme and regularly playing with Chineke! Orchestra which has taken him all over Europe as well as the Edinburgh International Festival, BBC Proms, Lucerne Festival and Paris Fashion Week. With one foot always in the non-classical world, he joined cult experimental pop band These New Puritans, recently performing a BBC Radio 6 session live from Maida Vale, and previously worked with Tyler the Creator for the premiere of his orchestral suite. His appearances at London jazz venues include Ronnie Scott’s, the Spice of Life and Pizza Express Live. Toril is a keen composer, having been highly commended multiple times and being awarded first prize in the BBC Proms and RCMJD composition competitions respectively. He has performed solo recitals at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, King’s Place, the RAH’s Elgar Room and the Jago.
Sara Motevasselian is a singer, pianist, composer, and music educator holding a Master’s degree in Music for Sonic Media from the University of Sussex.
Her work encompasses composition, performance, and music production for film and audiovisual media. She has contributed to a range of short and feature-length films that have received awards and recognition at major international film festivals.
Alongside her work for screen media, Sara is dedicated to creating original compositions that blend artistic expression with contemporary storytelling. In recognition of her achievements as a composer, she was awarded First Prize in the Original Composition category at the UK International Music Competition.
As both a performer and educator, Sara is committed to fostering meaningful musical experiences through performance, composition, and creative collaboration. Her artistic practice reflects a passion for innovation, interdisciplinary engagement, and the transformative power of music.
