The amazing, always sold out Mehfil Space are putting together something a little different, in part to celebrate Atiya, Mehfil Founder’s and Chloe, Mehfil Superfan’s birthdays!
We are pretty excited about this one! Here is what they are saying about it:
The Mehfil Space’s first ever Club Night! You MUST be there – we will keep you dancing to sounds inspired by south Asia and beyond. Not only will we have at least two DJ’s who have been part of the Mehfil-e-Rose Hill’s programme since we first started, but one of them, the fabulous Himmet Bahra , will be playing live tabla. We are soooo excited to have Himmet who will play tabla over afrohouse, south Asian beats, disco and everything in between. DJ Equal-i spun his reggae and jungle sounds for us already AND has performed for the Closing Party of the Brighton Festival last year.
You seriously do not want to miss this. More DJ names to be announced in the next few weeks…
And don’t worry – although it’s a Club Night, you will still get samosas (and birthday cake too – as it’s one of the Mehfil’s serious fans and also one of the founding Mehfil Space Director’s birthdays too!)
