Another night of experimental genre bending live music from one of our fave collective, label and promoters Ceremonial Laptop. Always cosy and friendly whilst pushing the boundaries of music and performance.
Who’s playing this time?
Marcus Hamblett
The Quietus said Marcus Hamblett’s music “could be called post-rock if it didn’t also sound pre-rock, or maybe as if rock had never happened and folk, modern jazz and the classical avant-garde had merged into a stream of hip, innovative music to soundtrack the changes and discontents of the second half of the twentieth century instead, and Joe Meek had dug John Cage.”
He is known for playing guitar, synths and brass instruments and his album’s feature contributions from James Holden, Colin Stetson and This Is The Kit. He will be joined by long term collaborator Thomas Heather on drums.

A Basic Fault
Brighton-based a basic fault strip back their 3-piece experimental rock sensibilities to a more ethereal, improvised, re-imagining of material from their eponymous debut EP, as well as brand new pieces of work.
