CIKARA
Cikara is the moniker of Talyn Singh Sandhu, a UK-based multidisciplinary artist, musician and DJ. Their works explore pre-Enlightenment mystics, South Asian folk, wyrd modes of existence and residual cultures in the digital age. By superposing science and mysticism, technology and the occult, ancient past and distant future - Cikara is able to foreground and work within, the fissures that divide these adversaries.
“the only predictable element is a sense of unpredictability: fragile, skewed melodies become suffused by bone-shaking beats; loops present themselves but are rapidly flipped back and forth as if randomised; rhythms stumble and trip as if denied their expected forward motion.” - Mat Smith [Electronic Sound]
ÃSSIA GHENDIR
ãssia ghendir is a musician, performance artist and somatic practitioner with a research-driven practice, exploring the parallel and dialogue between geological movements and somatic movements.
Rooted in ancient vocalizations and rite of passage practices, ãssia’s vocal work is a precise attunement through pre-verbal incantations that tells of numinous landscapes, human emotions and its malleability.
Their compositions often draw from natural sounds and vocal improvisation, inviting listeners to explore the boundaries of their own bodies and the sonic landscape around them.
ãssia's work resonates deeply with audiences seeking a transformative experience. Their approach often involves deep listening practices and encourages participants to engage with sound on a personal level, fostering a heightened sense of presence and embodiment.

She has travelled extensively as a touring artist, performing at New York’s Dweller Festival and Montreal’s MUTEK.
