Mesadorm + Faye Houston

  • The Rose Hill 70 Rose Hill Terrace Brighton, England, BN1 4JL United Kingdom (map)

Saturday 16th April | 7pm | £10 ADV

Mesadorm plays songs from their new album Pollinator. Out on Babylegs records For those of you who came to their last show here before the world ended and began again, it really was a memorable show! Blythe Pepino’s vocals, piano playing and song writing is always flawless and arresting. Somewhere between Kate Bush, Bowie and Joni Mitchell all mushed together with a badass band to boot. Four part harmonies all over the place and one of the best drummers on the scene today - Daisy Palmer (GoldFrapp, Paloma Faith).

“A really beautiful sound. Looking forward to hearing more from this next record” - Lauren Laverne, BBC Radio 6

“Mesadorm’s Let’s Leap is a welcome shot of undiluted Joy!” - Naomi Klein

“I love that, it’s got the chaos of a band like Tuneyards, hints of Caribou esque production in there, the melodic prowess of Kate Bush, they are a force of a band - that is Mesadorm” - Jack Saunders, BBC Radio 1

“[Easy] Has just about finished me off” – Verity Sharp, BBC 3 Late Junction

Faye Houston is one of the important voices on the scene. This is her Psych-Indie - soul duo. She is one of the lead singers of UK dub act Resonators, but creates her own genre in her solo songwriting along with Mike shirley on backing vocals and guitar! This duo is an unmissable experience for those who haven't yet seen !
