We are particularly excited by this one because one of the creative directors here sang, wrote and toured the world with the UK dub outfit Resonators for about 15 years and this new project features TWO of their members !!!

Hekatones is the new project from bassist George Berrills (founding member of dub group Resonators). Ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub is merged with influences as expansive as Jazz, Ethio-funk, Gamelan music, psychedelic rock and much more.

With Resonators, Berrills has shared stages internationally with the likes of The Skatalites, The Wailers, Jah 9, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Jimmy Cliff, and Horace Andy to name a few! With numerous acclaimed releases and airplay on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music and Radio 4, their music has been championed by the likes of David Rodigan, Huey Morgan and Craig Charles.

New instrumental outfit Hekatones is comprised of a stellar rhythm section: Luke Rattenbury - guitar (Kalakuta Millionaires, Saidi Kanda, Son Guarachando ), Dre Millns (keys), Mike Shirley - guitar ( Resonators), Alex Moody - drums (Dualers) . Expect some very special guests to join them for their Rose Hill performance!
