"This is wildly ambitious exuberant storytelling" - Brighton Source
The ground beneath your feet; the hills around town; the street outside your door: do you know what hopes and heartache have been etched there before you? From unquiet ghosts to unsung heroes, gangsters to giants to the fairies in the Sussex soil - people never stopped telling their stories, and they're all out there waiting at the edges of your dreams.
Come share an evening of tales born of this landscape, with master storyteller Jon Mason: English folklore and local legend, reappraised and reimagined to bring past, present and future together as one. How better can we know our place, but through its stories?
PLUS the chance to take part in University of Brighton research if you wish - or just enjoy the evening!
"... a really wonderful performance... it made me wonder why we don’t all know these stories of this beautiful land better. I want to go and visit those places now!” - Guesthouse Storytellers, Newhaven
"great tales told with obvious love. It was an enthralling evening.” – Audience member, The Mabinogion
