A King Thing with Woody Bang

  • The Rose Hill 70 Rose Hill Terrace Brighton, England, BN1 4JL United Kingdom (map)

THURSDAY 9th January | 7pm | £12 advance tickets

Making his Brighton debut…. It's Woody Bang!

Woody will be your host for an evening of drag king excellence, celebrating some of Woody's personal AFAB faves: Aphex Twink, Frank Bertoletti, Daddy Maki, King Crimson and Trans Charming….. and maybe a cheeky number from Woody himself!

Here’s a word from each of the kings:

Aphex: London-based drag king with a penchant for high-camp motifs and jockstraps. His acts centre on the merging of pop culture, filmic references and being a chronically online dyke 🪩🫶🏽🫢

Daddy: Half Japanese, half f**k boi, ready to roll your world, Daddy Maki is a mixed British-Japanese drag king born out of the queer Pan-Asian cabaret collective Bitten Peach. Acts may include culinary themed boylesque, dramatic clowning, and more.

Frank: Frank Bertoletti is an ‘ethereal’ and darkly glamorous Chanteur, Musical Theatre Actor and Clown with credits including Ronnie Scotts, Crazy Coqs and Phoenix Arts. His debut solo show TOFFS - unravelling the inner conflict of yearning to be, be with and behead posh men, premieres at The Museum of Comedy on 1 Dec. Keep up with Frank on socials and as he flounces his way through London’s sleaziest dives

Charming (He/They): Trans Charming is the Trans Drag Leather Daddy of Norfolk! He is a Variety Cabaret Artist (including Magic & Sideshow) & a Kinky Drag King. You can often see him doing many a Political & Provocative Art Piece at shows that pushes all the boundaries.

(Pending) Crimson: King Crimson CA/UK, is an international theatrical Drag King with a long career in Cabaret. They have headlined, hosted and performed across the UK, Germany, Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Wales and the Czech Republic since 2021. King Crimson's drag is inspired by Cinema, Theatre, Graphic novels & Television characters. Dark and Dramatic, or Camp and Comedic, they have an extensive repertoire and always bring a giant dollop of black magic wherever they go.
