A free entry, monthly get-together for the uninitiated as well as devotees of underground movies and alternative sounds, it is compiled and presented by Brighton based artist-filmmaker and electronic music composer, Ian Helliwell.

Dedicated to screening short experimental films, each Synch Pulse programme features a themed selection delving into the archives to show vintage and contemporary work, with a strong emphasis on electronic and experimental music soundtracks. Plastics, electronics, steam engines, a shipyard, and a coal fired power station, all feature in a programme of short films highlighting the industrialized and technological world. Electronic music soundscapes illustrate an age of heavy machinery and industrial processes.
