WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2025 | 7pm | FREE ENTRY
This programme will showcase a selection of shorts featuring some of the early experimenters with electronic music. In the first half, pioneering composers in Britain, France, Germany, Holland and the USA, are shown at work in their studios in the 1960s, surrounded by tape recorders and analogue tone generating equipment. The second half will focus on the 1970s and electronic music groups using analogue synthesizers, including Kraftwerk, Human League and Cabaret Voltaire, culminating with a special interview with musician Stephen Mallinder - Cabaret Voltaire linchpin, now senior lecturer at the University of Brighton and still highly active with electronic music.
