An evening dedicated to Concrete Poetry that includes two short talks and four performances. Sometimes called Sound Poetry, Phonetic Poetry, Concrete Poetry, it is a poetry that uses vocal sounds bypassing the meaning of words.
The evening will begin with two short talks: Duncan Harrison about Greta Monach and Xelís de Toro about the Cabaret Voltaire.
Later 4 Concrete Poetry practitioners will perform:
Dylan Nyoukis, PCoN, Xelís de Toro and Paula Claire. *Paula Claire will do a performance via Zoom (She is an artist based in Oxford that participated in the historic British Concrete Poetry of the sixties and seventies).
