We are so excited about this ! Firstly because we have had Mbira’s for many years and have had the honour and pleasure of learning one to one with Linos many moons ago. Secondly because words can’t explain what a special instrument this is and how much joy and serenity is endured when spending time playing it.

A chance to learn the Zimbabwean Thumb piano with the exceptional Mbira master Linos Wengara Magaya. Mbira is the traditional instrument used in Zimbabwean spiritual culture. A Brighton resident, Linos has been teaching and performing for decades. Instruments will be provided. We will have a relaxed group open to all. There will be time to learn set pieces, experience group participation and singing and try percussion styles.
