“An electrifying live band whose grooves could wake the dead” - Guardian

We are super pumped to have Ruth Goller back in the house, for those who made it to Skylla (her radical bass/vocal ensemble) or Vula Viel ( Bex Burch’s West African, punk inspired Jazz outfit) you will know what a force she is in the Uk Jazz scene! She has played with award-winning jazz musicians Kit Downes, Marc Ribot, and Shabaka Hutchings, as well as a certain Paul McCartney to name a few. So here we welcome another of her brilliant LET SPIN!

Let Spin is an explosive post jazz super group, who have been making waves in the UK and European jazz scenes since their formation in 2012. Ten years since their inception, the band’s fourth release, Thick As Thieves, is their strongest album to date, successfully capturing the band’s live sound in the studio. The creation of Thick As Thieves has taken the band’s interplay and fusing of composition and improvisation to a whole new level, with spectacular results.

Their collaborative way of working produces an explosive mixture of stylistic influences whilst their focus on improvisation leads to incendiary live performances, allowing the music to venture into territories that are unforeseen even to the musicians themselves.

Moss Freed - guitar (Union Division, Spike Orchestra)
Chris Williams - alto sax (Sarathy Korwar, Led Bib)
Ruth Goller - bass (Skylla, Melt Yourself Down)
Finlay Panter - drums (Beats & Pieces Big Band)

“prog-jazz supergroup” - Jazzwise

“British Punk Jazz with a wiry electrical crackle” - Uncut

“boisterous punk jazz at its best” - Jazzwise

“Eclectic, impassioned & mind-blowing” - London Jazz News
