The brilliant Jazz bassist Dave ‘O’ Brian is an old friend from Beatabet collective days and when learnt of this raucous Persian infused, Karnatic inspired Jazz trio he was part of we knew we HAD to get them down! Kourosh the guitarist and composer is an insane player - just you wait!

Kourosh Kanani trio (Kourosh Kanani, Matt Davies, Dave O'Brien) will be performing the music from their debut album Aysan as well as new music from their highly anticipated second album. An incredibly unique balance of Persian music, South Indian music and pilgrimatic jazz composition.

Their music is on a constant journey of discovery through Persian folk, Persian classical, the intricate rhythm systems of south India (Karnatic music), as well as jazz and improvisation, forging an exhilarating rock feel. Since the release of their first album they have been recognised internationally for their scintillating musicianship, and now is a good time to catch them as their chemistry blossoms.
