“One of the most impressive singers in European jazz” - Ö1 RADIO, AUSTRIA

GANNA draws on Ukrainian folk music and vocal traditions, to create something entirely new. Gryniva’s solo debut album KUPALA, released by Berthold records in October 2023, was rapturously received by the music press:

“The levels of talent – even wizardry – musicological, compositional, vocal – which run through her, and in so many different ways, are extraordinary” - London Jazz News

“One of the best albums of the year” - Varianty (UA)

Ganna Gryniva emigrated from Ukraine to Germany with her family in 2002. Her 2022 album, HOME, recorded with her ethnic jazz quintet Ganna Ensemble, was hailed as “Album of the Year” (DLF Kultur radio) and “Jazz Highlight of the Year” (BR-Klassik radio). Since 2017, Ganna has performed across Europe as solo artist, and as composer-singer with her quintet, emerging as a leading figure in contemporary European jazz and world music.
