Glue Gun are a Brighton/Leeds based film programming duo with a love of cult and genre cinema. For their first screening they’ve picked American Movie (1999), which documents independent filmmaker Mark Borchardt’s struggles to complete his short horror film Coven, with the help of friends, family and the residents of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Chris Smith and Sarah Price’s documentary is a hilarious, affectionate portrait of low budget ingenuity and creative collaboration.
