Experimental night with David Sappa from London and two local artists: J. Josephine and Van Stonholdt.

Pencilhead Presents: A happening. Curated by THE Pencilhead, no less; a truly great selection of artists will be performing in our beloved local pub/arts space, The Rose Hill.

London based sound artist and lo-fi drone folkster David Sappa, whose handmade instruments cobbled together using found objects picked from the tidal banks of the Thames straddle atonal wash and chiselled melodies.

J. Josephine is a noise connoisseur armed with loop stations, saxophone, clarinet and viola. The result is sure to be confrontational and abrasive and will no doubt be a great time to bliss out to.

Van Stonholdt is a multi instrumentalist whose guitar jams meander and trickle down streams that take you by surprise, using dictaphone contortions coupled with drum machines and double bass to dumbfound audiences! Don’t miss.

The Leecher takes fizzing synths, shuddering drum machines and yelps of feedback and sets them on each other, siphoned through 4-track tape compression to compete for priority in bleak soundscapes. First show!
