Roots Garden stormed Brighton’s clubnight scene with it’s ‘Strictly Roots and Culture’ ethos in 1995. Hosting Tuesday nights at the underground venue, The Jazz Place establishing Roots Garden as one of the UK’s longest running reggae nights (1995-2011). Bringing authentic sound system culture into a club environment. Roots Garden's passion and dedication to representing the very best of Jamaican music and it's many branches have secured it's name as an integral part of Brighton's musical landscape.
HeavyTone Hi-Fi is a roots, reggae & dub sound system from Brighton. A product of its surroundings, HeavyTone stands for love & unity. In our sessions you can hear everything from ska to UK steppers played through a custom hand-built sound system. Flying the flag for sound system culture in Brighton, we aim to bring back the dances that once graced this seaside town with full force.
Easy Skankin’ are a collective of some of the best Reggae DJs in Brighton. All have impressive backgrounds, which when bought together promises to uplift your soul as you skank to the sounds of Ska, Rocksteady, Roots, Rubadub and Dancehall!
City Food Share is a community based charity fundraising platform supporting food banks and homeless shelters in Brighton and Hove. We help provide hot meals, living essentials and food shopping for vulnerable people and families. We are currently fundraising for 9 food banks and homeless shelters and every penny raised at this event will be used directly to support those in need.
