Diane will lead a workshop focusing on singing as deep self-care and embodied expression. This inclusive workshop is created with both new/never-before singers and experienced vocalists in mind. Diane guides participants through a series of bija mantras--seed sounds for warming up and connecting with the voice as it inhabits and influences the body. There will be an exploration of personal mythology as a means of discovering and developing one's own 'vocal signature'--an opportunity to delve into and revel in the natural qualities of one's unique voice in an encouraging environment. Group and individual improvisation leads to spontaneous song-making. Tools shared are flexible, and with the intention that empowered singers help create healthy communities.
£50, open to twelve participants.
