Beatabet return to The Rose Hill with their second season of monthly nights. This first one has the MIGHTY Paddy Steer, Hannah Moulette and VoxDansa (over from Barcelona).
Paddy Steer is a visionary, refered to by The Quietus as "The Moondog of Manchester". As the former leader of Ninja Tune-signed Homelife, Steer has cultivated a gloriously off-kilter jumble of sounds that coalesce into something hypnotic and irresistible. There are echoes of Ethiopian jazz, of Pigbag, of Sun Ra, all seeming held together (just) by the deployment of analogue synths and various horns and woodwind.
Hannah Moulette will perform solo cello, effects and vocals.
VoxDansa is a Butoh singer who will perform a 20 minute movement and vocal piece.
David McWizard may or not make an appearance.
